Field Services Engineer (Process)
Job description
Your responsibilities will cover a variety of tasks related to the service of Client’s Sulphuric Acid Plants and other Chemical Process Plants in the Middle-East region.
Your tasks will include:
• Do plant audits. This will involve on-site inspections and providing technical reports and finding and recommendations
• Supply TAR planning and execution support to clients
• Execute studies to optimize production while the plant is in operations – with assistance from the process group in the US.
• Assist with installation of equipment sold by MECS
• Start-up of new plants, revamped plants, and equipment sold by MECS
• On-site optimization of plants using our PeGASyS™ equipment
• Trouble shoot problems – both operational and mechanical – at customer plants
• Preparing technical & commercial proposals for Site Services and Technical Service Agreements
• Communicate with customers – mainly verbal, but also written communication
• Supply technical support to BDM’s
• Provide support on project execution.
• Interaction and communicate with the Engineering and Process Groups in the US
Your profile
For this position, we are looking for candidate with
• a degree chemical or process in engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in Sulphuric Acid Plant operations and/or maintenance.
• good technical communication skills, oral and written, in English
• good knowledge of basic process equipment & instrumentation – preferably in Sulphuric Acid industry
• an analytical and accurate way of working with experience in troubleshooting.
• willingness to travel on frequent basis (50%).
• ability to work independently and as part of a team
