<p>Carter Murray have exclusively partnered with a global events and communication advisory firm to find them an experienced and highly motivated Project Director.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a 6-month contract based in KSA, or Dubai with frequent travel to Saudi. They are seeking someone who is available immediately. </p><p>The candidate must have an experience leading the production of a large festival.</p><p><br></p><p>Main Projects:</p><p>β’ High-level thought-leadership and business Forums focused on global issues including investment, economic transformation, sustainability, nation-branding & soft power, innovation, youth engagement, sport, culture, and more.</p><p><br></p><p>Scope of work:</p><p>β’ Supervising the overall project execution: Cross-functional team coordination (project, content, production, logistics, audience), overseeing quality of deliverables.</p><p>β’ Thinking laterally and creatively across project verticals to improve project outcomes, including bringing a wow-effect to the forum.</p><p>β’ Building and managing budgets, project plans and staffing for 2 to 3 projects in parallel.</p><p>β’ Assuming primary responsibility for client relationship and progress reporting.</p><p>β’ Steering client discussions around project value proposition and strategic positioning.</p><p>β’ Handling project issue escalation and resolution with client and senior leadership.</p><p>β’ Managing vendors and consultants on projects.</p><p>β’ Conceptualizing and drafting business development documents with analytical and logistic aspects</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>β’ Masterβs degree in a relevant field required. Relevant fields include international affairs, politics, public policy, business, management consulting, journalism, marketing, communications.</p><p>β’ Confident project management professional with a strong interpersonal and leadership skills.</p><p>β’ Self-motivated team player, with demonstrated ability to drive and coach a group of diverse individuals towards achieving results.</p><p>β’ Previous experience working with government (Ministries, SWF, Investment Promotion Agencies, etc.) or corporate clients at the C-suite level.</p><p>β’ Multicultural awareness with experience working or living in different countries.</p><p>β’ Knowledge and interest in emerging market economies, global investment climate and geopolitics.</p><p>β’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work odd and long hours when required (due to working with individuals and clients across different time zones).</p><p>β’ Ability to interact and build trust with a varied range of stakeholders.</p><p>β’ Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and find solutions to challenges.</p><p>β’ Excellent skills in PowerPoint and other collaborative and creative working apps.</p><p>β’ Excellent writing and research skills.</p><p>β’ Fluent English, both written and oral.</p><p>β’ French and or Arabic language skills a plus.</p><p>β’ Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.</p><p>β’ Comfortable using all basic list and sorting functions in Excel.</p><p>β’ Ability to draft clear and concise presentations in English.</p>
