Job Role: Facilities Manager

Location: Doha, Qatar

Guildhall, an executive search firm, is currently seeking a highly experienced Facilities Manager to join our client’s team in the Facilities Management industry. As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all building-related activities and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of facilities. Your role will involve optimising space and equipment utilisation, reducing operating costs, and maintaining a safe and well-functioning environment for employees.

Responsibilities:

β€’ Develop and execute proactive maintenance plans to ensure the proper functioning of basic facilities.
β€’ Coordinate and manage installations, refurbishments, and repairs of telecommunications, heating, electricity, and other systems.
β€’ Ensure equipment and supplies are well-maintained and meet health and safety standards.
β€’ Conduct regular inspections of building structures to identify and address repair or renovation needs.
β€’ Review utilities consumption and implement measures to minimize costs.
β€’ Supervise facility staff, including custodians, technicians, and groundskeepers, as well as external contractors.
β€’ Manage service contracts and insurance plans, ensuring compliance and value for money.
β€’ Control activities such as parking space allocation, waste disposal, and building security.
β€’ Maintain accurate financial and non-financial records related to facilities management.
β€’ Perform analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
β€’ Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues and mitigate their impact on operations.
β€’ Plan and optimize space allocation and resource utilization for new buildings or re-organizing existing premises.
β€’ Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including delegating or completing maintenance orders.
