Are you ready to realize your potential?<p><br></p><strong><u>The Position</u></strong><p><br></p>The main purpose of the job is to develop and execute all external policy engagement and strategy plans as well as public affairs and communication plans.<p><br></p>We are looking also for a profile that both has a strategic mindset and is execution focused on external engagement. You have a solid understanding of how the external environment is impacting a global company doing business in Algeria.<p><br></p>You are aware of how decisions are being made and can navigate and handle the external factors that are driving change in the healthcare and business environment.<p><br></p>Your main responsibility as External Affairs Manager is to take ownership of devising engagement strategies for various external stakeholders including parliamentarians, policy makers, pharmaceutical industry bodies, health professionals and trade and patient groups.<p><br></p>You will develop and execute the Public Affairs Plan according to the overall affiliate Business Plan and Strategy (including diabetes, obesity, rare endocrine, rare blood, and other serious chronic disease), contributing to the development of the Public Affairs knowledge and skills within the SEMEAA in general, within NN budgets, timescales, and procedures.<p><br></p><strong><u>Some Other Accountabilities</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Navigates in a policy setting environment and focuses on creating a platform to engage external stakeholders around Novo Nordisk priorities.</li><li>Contributes to maximizing the value of the Novo Nordisk reputation by creating a supportive stakeholder environment for our business areas; and for ensuring external visibility towards public through public relations activities related to Changing Diabetes®, Changing Haemophilia®, Changing Obesity™ and the general image of the company.</li><li>Engage relevant policy stakeholders, patient advocacy organizations and policy champions in the Algerian health environment,</li><li>Collaborate with Market Access &amp; External Communication and Leadership team members under the supervision of Sr. Director MAPA to ensure the policy strategy supports the access and reimbursement plans for NNAL products and ensure advocacy strategies are included in Access/Brand plans,</li><li>Ensures the organization is aware of relevant policies under discussion including emerging policy issues that would present a threat or an opportunity to NNAL’s short and long term’s objectives.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong><p><br></p>We expect you to hold below skills and qualifications:<p><br></p><ul><li>Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of government affairs/policy related experience. </li><li>Experience in representing corporate interests at local trade associations, driving key policy positions of responsibility, and building coalitions as needed.</li><li>Previous experience in government/public affairs in the pharma industry; and/or experience in local government or parliament; and/or experience in public affairs consultancy with pharma clients; and/or experience in local trade association.</li><li>Able to work effectively with patient groups to build trust and support by identifying mutual interests and agendas.</li><li>Proven track-record in engaging and mobilizing patient advocacy groups to take appropriate action in support of specific issues, such as access, and to support NNAL and the biopharmaceutical industry overall.</li><li>Skilled at advocacy, influence, and persuasion: able to convince others to act on information or recommendations based on compelling logic or common best interests.</li><li>Possesses unquestionable integrity and a sense of confidence, balanced with humility and high sense of commitment and accountability.</li><li>Strong oral and written communications skills in French and English.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Working at Novo Nordisk</strong><p><br></p>Novo Nordisk is a global healthcare company headquartered in Denmark.
