Overview / Responsibilities

Due to anticipated growth throughout 2023, Wood is currently inviting applications for a Expeditor with experience in the oil and gas industry for our team in Abu Dhabi.

Responsiblities

  • Expedite Purchase Orders to ensure that they are delivered within project schedules
  • Liaise with client appointed Freight Forwarder
  • Produce Expediting Status Reports
  • Prioritise Purchase Orders that require Expediting
  • Contact vendors to establish the status of a Purchase Order
  • Provide projects with feedback on the current delivery status of a Purchase Order
  • Peform site visits when required
  • Notify project personnel of any potential β€œslippages” to the agreed schedule
  • Negotiate improved delivery / recovery plans when required
  • Update the Procurement System with revised delivery dates when required
  • Perform other tasks as directed by line manager

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 12 years experience in the Oil and Gas industries
  • Good expediting experience in the Middle East region
  • Direct purchasing on a global basis
  • Strong Team Player with Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
