Inspiring us to create warm and sophisticated experiences for those seeking a richer perspective on the world.<br><br>Phoenicia InterContinental Hotel in Beirut is looking to hire an Executive Sous-Chef.<br><br>Overlooking the Mediterranean, the Phoenicia InterContinental hotel with 446 rooms and suites and 33 apartments, along with 4 F&amp;B outlets, and one of the largest banquet facilities in Lebanon.<br><br><strong>A little taste of your day-to-day:<br><br></strong>Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:<br><br>Culinary Excellence:<br><ul><li>Maintain a deep understanding of current culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, ensuring that the kitchen stays ahead of industry developments.</li><li>Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality to ensure exceptional guest experiences.<br><br></li></ul>Team Management:<br><ul><li>Supervise and mentor the culinary team, including sous chefs, chefs de partie, and other kitchen staff.</li><li>Train and develop staff members in culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and safety procedures.<br><br></li></ul>Menu Planning and Development:<br><ul><li>Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create menus that reflect the hotel’s culinary philosophy and meet the expectations of our discerning guests.</li><li>Stay updated on guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and emerging food trends to tailor menus accordingly.<br><br></li></ul>Operational Efficiency:<br><ul><li>Assist in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control, purchasing, and cost management, to maximize efficiency and profitability.</li><li>Implement and enforce health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations and best practices.<br><br></li></ul>Collaboration and Communication:<br><ul><li>Foster effective communication and collaboration with other departments, such as food and beverage, banquets, and events, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source the highest quality ingredients while maintaining cost-effectiveness.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What We need from you:<br></strong><ul><li>Culinary degree or diploma preferred.</li><li>Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end hotel or fine dining establishment.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.</li><li>Use the Microsoft Office Tools, Opera, Fidelio, Micros.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What you can expect from us:<br><br></strong>We give our people everything they need to succeed.
