Find your future with us.<p><br></p>The Boeing Company is seeking an <strong>Executive</strong> <strong>Legal Counsel</strong> to serve as Boeing’s lead lawyer in <strong>Saudi Arabia</strong>, based in <strong>Riyadh</strong>. The Legal Counsel will be a member of The Boeing Company’s Global Law Affairs group and a part of the India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey (IMEA) regional legal team.<p><br></p>Global Law Affairs (GLA) consists of 17 attorneys, located across the globe, led by a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. The GLA team works closely with U.S.-based Counsel from throughout The Boeing Company Law Department’s business unit and functional practice groups. The Legal Counsel will report to the Regional Counsel, based in Dubai, UAE, and will interface with various U.S.-based Law Department attorneys about a particular business unit or functional matters. The Legal Counsel will also work closely with the Boeing President for Saudi Arabia.<p><br></p><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Advisory Responsibilities. Responsible for providing advice and counsel to the company’s business leaders located in Saudi Arabia on the full range of legal issues that may arise. This will include support to Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security, Commercial Airplanes, and Global Services (comprising both defense and commercial) businesses, as well as related localization and industrial participation projects in the region.</li><li>Management. Serve on the Boeing Saudi Arabia Leadership team, supported by regional paralegals based in Dubai, UAE; managing a budget for external counsel support; managing all external counsel relationships for law firms based in the Saudi Arabia.</li><li>Joint Ventures/M&amp;A. Responsible for working together with M&amp;A attorneys on proposed joint ventures and acquisitions in the region and coordinating local law advice on all aspects of the above, including on appropriate business structures.</li><li>Compliance. Responsible for managing the implementation of all applicable company policies in Saudi Arabia, including synchronizing company policies with local law limitations; for evaluating in-place compliance mechanisms, relative to the U.S., the relevant Saudi Arabia jurisdictions and any other applicable law; and for identifying any new compliance needs and developing/ implementing attendant processes, as required by the U.S. or other applicable law.</li><li>Investigations and Litigation. Responsible for coordinating legal aspects of investigations in Saudi Arabia in conjunction with U.S. investigations and litigation counsel; interface with governmental organizations on legal issues.</li><li>Subsidiary Management. Work together with U.S.-based counsel on corporate governance and registration requirements for the company’s subsidiaries and branch offices in Saudi Arabia.</li><li>Labor and Employment. Responsible for managing labor and employment matters for all business units in Saudi Arabia, working with local human resources team and U.S.-based Counsel. Representative matters may include employment disputes, compliance requirements for local and foreign hires, immigration and visa compliance for the latter, termination issues, and managing the temporary assignment of employees to international locations.</li><li>Contracts, Procurement, and Leasing. Responsible for advising business personnel, functional personnel, and coordinating with U.S.-based Counsel regarding local contracting practices on matters including defense procurement, commercial procurement, non-production procurement, and real estate matters.</li><li>Regulatory. Responsible for advising business personnel and coordinating with U.S.-based Counsel and Boeing’s finance organization regarding regulatory matters in Saudi Arabia.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer:</strong><p><br></p>We are an equal opportunity employer. Minimum 10 years of professional experience, out of which at least 5 years of working in Saudi Arabia, is essential.
