<strong>JOB PURPOSE</strong><p><br></p>To effectively manage corporate communications activities and media relations on behalf of the company while leading a team of senior media relations officers and support all staff from head office in Doha.<p><br></p><strong>DUTIES</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Ensure continuous evolution of overall events /exhibitions strategy evaluation, planning process, preparation and execution to ensure excellent and controlled execution.</li><li>Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the area of events /exhibitions.</li><li>Prepare and manage the yearly events/exhibitions budgets in line with the company’s corporate strategy.</li><li> Prepare and secure budgets for assigned event and exhibitions and ensure effective use to avoid unnecessary expenditures. </li><li>Ensure that all events, exhibitions and associated projects are executed within assigned budgets.</li><li>Liaise with third parties such as event management companies, contractors, hotels, venues, organizers and suppliers to ensure all logistical and operational aspects of each event and exhibition combines to create experiences which result in best-in-class across the industry.</li><li>Effective planning and execution processes to be followed to ensure optimum results through managing project plans and guidelines</li><li>For each event, develop a detailed resource staff planning roster to avoid unnecessary deployment times and to maximize efficiency/productivity.</li><li>Perform other departmental duties related to the position</li><li>Ensure all projects are executed within pre-approved budgets</li><li>Provide coaching to team members<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Minimum Qualification:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Min Diploma / Bachelors level or equivalent</li><li>Minimum 6 years relevant working experience</li><li>Strong project management background</li><li>Strong track record in developing, planning and executing successful events and exhibitions</li><li>Experience of managing multiple vendors and multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Experience with budget forecasting and tracking</li><li>Experience communicating at all levels of an organization<br></li></ul>
