Job Description
<p>The Events Director will be responsible for creating and implementing events that align with our brand and business objectives, managing budgets, and leading a team of event managers and coordinators.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and implement event plans that align with our business objectives and target audience.</li><li>Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, technical production, suppliers and staffing requirements, vendor management, logistics, and all other requirements as may arise.</li><li>Continuously evaluate and improve event processes and procedures to enhance the overall guest experience, with a particular focus on technology and innovation.</li><li>Assist with the hiring and Onboarding new team members.</li><li>Train and manage a team of event planners and coordinators, ensuring they have the necessary tools, resources, and training to perform their roles effectively.</li><li>Liaise with clients and/or internal team to take control of incoming briefs, interrogating them and owning the response including but not limited to the brief objectives, requirements, and expectations.</li><li>Translate client briefs into creatively strategic proposals within defined timeframes.</li><li>Develop, produce, implement, and document detailed proposals for events, activations, and exhibition stands.</li><li>Conduct and contribute to brainstorming sessions with the creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to create winning proposals.</li><li>Inspire younger team members to be expressive and innovative in their ideas.</li><li>Source and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality services at competitive prices.</li><li>Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.</li><li>Manage on-site event operations, supervising staff and troubleshooting issues as they arise.</li><li>Monitor event performance, gathering feedback from attendees and stakeholders to inform future improvements.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools and technologies, with a particular focus on event technology and then share any findings to achieve perpetual improvement across the company.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.</li><li>Stay current with pop culture trends and news to incorporate relevant themes and ideas into events.</li><li>Develop event concepts, themes, and designs that align with client objectives and reflect current cultural trends.</li><li>All the above accountabilities include but are not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned as required.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Job Specification</strong></p><ul><li>A minimum of 7 yearsβ experience in event management with an agency is mandatory, preferably within an Experiential Agency.</li><li>Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events.</li><li>Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong client relationships.</li><li>Ability to manage a team.</li><li>Proficiency in event management software and tools.</li><li>A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality events.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.</li><li>Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.</li><li>Strong negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>
