Advanced Metal Industries Co. (AMIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee and Cristal.<p><br></p>Tasnee, signed a joint venture agreement with Japan’s Toho Titanium Company in January 2014 to build the SAR 1.6 billion project. The titanium sponge project is the region’s first of its type to produce 15,600 tons of pure titanium. The company has sent 69 Saudi engineers to train for two years in Japan on producing pure titanium.<p><br></p>An exciting opportunity is available for <strong>Engineer, Safety </strong>Based in Yanbu and will report directly to <strong>Manager, ISD</strong><p><br></p><strong><em><u>About the role:</u></em></strong><p><br></p>Provide the Sponge site with Safety direction and support to ensure safe and (RC” Royal commission” and HCIS “High Commission of Industrial Safety”) regulatory compliant operation across the Site through effective supervision of the Safety team in close collaboration with colleagues both within the team and with other functions.<p><br></p><strong><em><u>You will be responsible to:</u></em></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Ensure specifications of new machinery and equipment are meeting safety standards.</li><li>Continuous inspections of facilities and equipment to identify hazards and take required action to rectify.</li><li>Overview safety procedures and rectify unwarranted situation.</li><li>Recommend improvement in safety regulations, procedures.</li><li>To take lead and demonstrate leadership during emergencies, or accidents.</li><li>Interpret results and implement changes/corrective actions in regard to Work Related Accidents to avoid/prevent accidents reoccurrence.</li><li>Keep records of various inspections, e.g., Fire extinguishers Hoist, lifting slings, exit signs, and other safety signs.</li><li>Take initiative to rectify any defective safety signs or situation conducive to personnel safety.</li><li>Organize periodic inspection of safety related equipment including fire hydrants, extinguishers, foam truck, cranes, and hoists.</li><li>Ensure site compliance with Safety Management System and ISO45001.</li><li>Interface with sponge site personnel in order to develop safety awareness and also interface with management to review policy matters from time to time.</li><li>Address and coordinate formal correspondences with HCIS and adhere to HCIS requirements.</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain Safety Management System.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><em><u>About You:</u></em></strong><p><br></p><strong>Minimum Qualification:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree – Mechanical Engineering, or Equivalent Engineering degree.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>3-5 years of experience </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Required Skills:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Business Performance Management</li><li>Managing and Improving Business Processes</li><li>Experience with industry working under HCIS jurisdiction</li><li>ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certified is preferable. </li><li>Statistical Analysis and Measurement</li><li>Critical Thinking and Decision Making</li><li>Business Statistics</li><li>Analytical Thinking</li><li>Verbal and written English skills</li><li>Familiar with Microsoft office programs</li></ul>
