<p>Job Title: <strong>Endocrinologist</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are looking for a qualified and driven Endocrinologist to complement the clinic founding team. As an Endocrinology Doctor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and managing the endocrine disorders of our patients.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ABOUT US:</strong></p><p>A young speciality clinic for metabolic conditions with a focus on obesity and diabetes in Dubai, UAE. Highly ambitious with the mission to take on the prevailing pandemic of metabolic conditions in the Middle East, particularly diabetes and obesity, leveraging advancements in technology and their recent regulatory support (e.g. telemedicine). Our clinic has developed a proprietary treatment approach for people struggling with obesity in the form of a medicated lifestyle intervention. To achieve sustainable weight loss, patients are coached throughout the medicated treatment period and beyond, helping them to achieve better outcomes that last.</p><ul><li>Conduct patient consultations to diagnose and treat endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, metabolic bone diseases, and adrenal disorders</li><li>Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that include medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to specialists as needed</li><li>Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients</li><li>Stay up to date with the latest advancements in endocrinology and incorporate them into patient care as appropriate</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely patient records</li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in Endocrinology</li><li>A valid medical license and registration to practice endocrinology in the UAE and/or country of last employment; if currently not licensed to practice in the UAE, need to be eligible to receive license and meet UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR)</li><li>Specialisation in metabolic conditions, specifically obesity and diabetes; certification in obesity is a plus</li><li>Additional qualification in paediatrics is a plus</li><li>Significant work experience in the field of metabolic conditions focused on diabetes and obesity</li><li>A thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions, particularly metabolically conditions such as diabetes and obesity</li><li>Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses</li><li>Strong business apprehension to help clinic realise its growth ambitions in the Middle East</li><li>Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills</li><li>Strong organisational and problem-solving (researching skills is a plus)</li><li>Proficiency with computers and medical equipment</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>General duties and responsibilities:</strong></p><p>➢ Analysing, examining, and investigating patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances</p><p>➢ Advising, ordering, and performing tests and interpreting the results</p><p>➢ Discussing diagnoses with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving adviceon medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures</p><p>➢ Carrying out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records</p><p>➢ Supporting patients with serious or complex endocrine conditions</p><p>➢ Remaining up-to-date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties and responsibilities specific to the clinic:</strong></p><p>➢ Conducting technology-enabled consultations, e.g. through telemedicine</p><p>➢ Collaborating with and aligning the treatment with the health coaches who are responsible for educating, encouraging, and supporting patient throughout the treatment period (and beyond) to make necessary lifestyle changes (e.g. nutrition, exercise, sleep)</p><p>➢ Supporting the management in recruiting additional medical staff in line with the clinic’s growth ambitions (in the UAE and wider GCC)</p><p>➢ Training of new medical staff (with strong support by the management)</p><p>➢ Explaining and advertising the benefits of technology-supported treatment to patients(e.g. use of the proprietary app and adoption of tele-medicine)</p><p>➢ Working closely with the management on partnerships with technology and life science companies</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive compensation package</li><li>Comprehensive benefits including medical insurance</li><li>Retirement savings plan</li><li>Professional development opportunities</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you are a dedicated and compassionate Endocrinology Doctor looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
