<p>Emergency Nurse</p><p><strong>The</strong> <strong>Medical City for Military and Security Services </strong></p><p><strong>Muscat, Sultanate of Oman</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Medical City for Military and Security Services (MCMSS) in Muscat Oman is a Tertiary/Quaternary Care level city providing services to patients of different age groups in different specialties.</p><p>MCMSS is seeking to appoint<strong> Emergency Nurse</strong>, who is well trained and highly motivated individual to develop her/his professional career within the MCMSS.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Education/Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>BSc in Nursing + Post Graduate Diploma in emergency Nursing + &gt; 3 years’ experience in the area of specialty.</li><li>BSc in Nursing + &gt; 5 years’ experience in the area of specialty.</li><li>Valid BLS + ACLS</li><li>Prometric exam passed in OMSB and Data flow.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience Post-Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Specialized Emergency Nurse + &gt; 3 years</li><li>Non-specialized + &gt; 5 years</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Job Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Systematically assesses, triage patients and allocate them to the appropriate treatment area.</li><li>Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care plans for trauma and other emergency cases.</li><li>Monitors patient’s vital signs and initiates corrective emergency actions whenever the patient displays adverse symptoms.</li><li>Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications; and reports adverse reactions to medications.</li><li>Proves knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care.</li><li>Assists with the insertion or discontinuation of central venous catheters, arterial lines, chest drains and endotracheal tubes.</li><li>Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators, ECG, ABG and analyses lab results.</li><li>Involves in education and teaching of patients and caregivers.</li><li>Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of MCMSS.</li><li>Performs all duties assigned to his designation.</li><li>Performs all relevant interventions related to his/her field of specialization.</li><li>Completes and maintains her/ his set of clinical privileges.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the chairperson / head of the department.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Salary will be based upon qualification, experience and available vacancies, using Oman Medical Bylaw.</p><p><br></p><p>Interested candidates should apply with CV and letter of interest via the <strong>APPLY</strong> button.</p>
