Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
To oversee the 2nd level support and technical administrative tasks carried out by the administrators for any e-mail related problem troubleshooting, to ensure the smooth work and dataflow, and to avoid any disruptions to the bank’s internal and external communications.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Email Systems Management
1. Supervise installation, upgrade, monitoring, and maintenance of CIB’s E-Mail system required for CIB business communication.
2. Ensure the resolution of any raised issues related to the messaging system in an accurate and timely fashion to provide the maximum mail service availability.
3. Plan to implement new features and program fixes in the e-mail system to provide better user experience.
4. Ensure proper Capacity planning and data maintenance activities for e-mail system to prepare for expected business growth.
5. Oversee the administration of email related collaboration servers such as Traveler/ActiveSync, E-mail Content filtering (Anti-Spam/Virus) to facilitate access to business mails with security/privacy control.
6. Review Disaster Recovery (DR) scenarios, verify that the correct procedures are in place to be applied whenever needed, and supervise smooth failover to Disaster Recovery site to ensure DR readiness.
7. Review regular monitoring outputs of all Email & Messaging components to maintain the performance, and efficiency of the system.
8. Review, update and enforce technical procedures, and runbooks for the Email & Messaging in scope services to ensure that all team members are working in a consistent manner.
9. Lead and plan for all upgrade, patching and configuration changes, abiding to the change management process to mitigate operational risks.
10. Provide guidance, knowledge transfers and consultancy to all team members to ensure high technical capability is cascaded properly.
11. Cooperates with other heads in the department in new initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration tools through integrations to improve user experience.

12. Implement approved department policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Day-to-day Operations
13. Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the IT Infrastructure Management department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
Compliance
14. Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
Supervision
15. Supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree of Communications/Computer Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 6 – 8 years of experience in Email Administration support
Solid Knowledge in Email products and technologies:
o MS Exchange 2013 to 2019.
o MS ActiveSync.
o MS Exchange Archiving.
o Mail Gateways and content filtering.
Knowledge of CommVault or any e-mail archiving solution.
o Knowledge of HCL Lotus Domino is a plus.
Mandatory Certifications:
o Professional Certification in MS Exchange.
o MCSA in Active Directory and/or SQL are a plus.
