<strong>JOB PURPOSE:</strong><p><br></p>Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring all Electrical, ELV, and fire/life safety systems within the data center is available at maximum efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to Alarms/Faults. The Technician serves as an expert technical resource, reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain as per the requirement.This equipment includes MV &amp; LV switchgear, UPS’s, Batteries, Lighting system, earthing &amp; Lightning protection system, control panels, ELV, and Fire systems.<p><br></p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBLIITES:</strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> R esponsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and daily visual inspections on major data center equipment. </li><li> Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipment and keeping daily logs/ records of all maintenance functions. </li><li> Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of electrical equipment. </li><li> Perform preventive maintenance, repair work and minor modification works for electrical and ELV systems. </li><li> Maintain, operate all electrical systems and associated equipment, building management system, etc… </li><li> Per form facility inspection s and report on condition affecting operations </li><li> Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus. </li><li> Create the Job cards in CAFM (FSI) Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards that the Engineer assigns. </li><li> Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls. </li><li> Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken. </li><li> Review and understand equipment and methods of operation for Electrical systems, ELV system and fire/life safety systems. </li><li> Comply with all safety procedures and requirements </li><li> Support any 24/7 facility needs and activities as required </li><li> Attend training sessions and seminars. </li><li> Other assigned tasks as requested. </li><li> Performing statutory maintenance testing and checks within the facility including emergency lighting, domestic water treatment, fire sprinkler systems, electrical distribution, battery systems. </li><li> Electrical fault finding and fault diagnosis, functional testing. </li><li> Ensuring good working order of Electrical lighting and power systems, UPS systems and batteries, Distribution boards, control panels, main switchboards </li><li> First Line Response to help desk calls for failure/breakdown of MEP systems on site </li><li> Work day shift/night shift rotational 6 days 12hr per shift and flexibility in working time </li><li> Ensure all works are carried in line with Company Procedures and Policies, Health and Safety, Control of Hazardous materials, in line with COSHH regulations and PPE. <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>SKILLS REQUIRED:</strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.</li><li> Ability to read, write and speak in English.</li><li> Basic knowledge of Mechanical Systems (Generators,Chillers, DX Units etc.)</li><li> Proficiency in use of computer – Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.</li><li> Skill in installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.</li><li> Excellent organizational skills and initiative to learn and take on new responsibilities.</li><li> Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.</li><li> Good problem-solving skills and ability to meet demanding time constraints.</li><li> Strong team player with the ability to influence/develop/maintain relationships with internal/external contacts<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Technical Diploma Degree or ITI (with minimum 2 years course)</li><li> 3+ years experience in Data Center Facilities Management or similar critical environment.</li><li> 7+ years total Experience in Electrical &amp; ELV Facility Management Field.<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>OTHER REQUIREMENTS:</strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Working knowledge of Permit to Work , LOTO &amp; similar safety procedures.</li><li> Any Data Center Certifications would be an advantage.<br></li></ul>
