Job Location: Saudi Arabia (Ras Al Khair )

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze electrical engineering deliverables (Drawings & Specifications) for compliance with specified codes, standards, company quality policy, and practices.
  • Working knowledge of IEEE, IEC standards and requirements.
  • Preparation and monitoring of project schedules & budgets.
  • Develop reports and presentations as required.
  • Review mechanical testing/commissioning/FAT/endurance procedures and assist with development as required.
  • Must possess the initiative to propose and implement new improvement ideas.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders offering electrical technical input to resolve identified inter-discipline conflict during the project design or execution phase.
  • Utilize knowledge of asset management standards ISO 55000/1/2 and implement during the project execution phase as necessary.
  • Work with HSE to engineer out identified potential risks or hazards, to provide a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Awareness of the Risk Management system, Risk Register, Lesson learned Register & respective responsibilities.
  • Monitor and manage equipment installation, ensuring that best-in-class returns are achieved.
  • Manage required documentation & certification during project execution according to the company Document Control Policy & Procedure.
  • Needs to have a proven track record of managing change and achieving commercial results.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-9 years of experience as an electrical engineer in shipbuilding, oil & gas, or equivalent industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction and failure mechanisms of electrical & other assets such as transformers, circuit breakers, fuses, arresters, switches, automation, insulated power cables, overhead line conductors, and insulators.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and condition assessment methodologies of Mechanical & electrical assets, i.e., electrical, mechanical, chemical, and material tests, as well as applicable acceptance criteria, guides, and standards.
  • The ability to manage large multi-disciplinary teams, across a broad range of technologies.
  • Experience in working with diverse cultures.
  • Understanding of Asset Management/ERP systems and relevant ISO/IEC
