The Electrical Engineer will utilize his experience and engineering principles to offer expertise in maintenance of HV cable and accessories. As an Electrical Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to support maintenance technicians in executing corrective and preventive maintenance programs for various types of electrical equipment. Collaboration with operational engineers, maintenance technicians, and customers will be essential to ensure the efficient completion of assigned maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
Review and approve maintenance procedures, instructions, and task lists for electrical equipment, suggesting improvements to align with customer standards and industry best practices.
Approve scheduled preventive maintenance testing plans and protocols for electrical equipment, actively participating in planned and unplanned major maintenance activities.
Develop Scope of Work (SOW) for maintenance and repair activities, ensuring the availability of spare parts prior to commencement.
Oversee repairs and corrective work on electrical equipment, adhering to manufacturer’s instructions and ensuring the quality of the performed work.
Manage and analyze maintenance history, records, and test results for electrical equipment, utilizing statistical trend analysis to predict future performance and propose preventive measures.
Ensure proper maintenance of critical spare equipment and maintain assembled spare transformers ready for service while updating databases for critical equipment.
Collaborate in troubleshooting major electrical equipment failures and resolving technical challenges beyond the expertise of maintenance technicians.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control for maintenance activities to ensure compliance with Client maintenance standards.
Education & Experience Requirements:
As a successful candidate, you must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the HV Power Industry is required.
Vendor/Manufacturer experience is advantageous.
Practical knowledge and experience in maintenance methods and practices are essential.
You should be flexible to work in multinational teams and mobilize to different locations, including remote areas, as required.
