Job Description

The position reports to the Service Manager and is based in the WEG Middle East office in JAFZA.RESPONSIBILITIESReceive, analyze, and answer all customers’ requests, questions, and clarifications regarding after sales services and spare parts including initial site inspectionPerform installation, commissioning and start-up of LV/MV Variable Frequency Drives, Soft Starters and MotorsPerform inspection, troubleshooting, testing and servicing of variable frequency drives (VFD), Soft Starters and LV/MV/HV MotorsPrepare technical reportsContact and coordinate with WEG Service Partners and Factory After Sales / Service Department to analyze the breakdowns of products, determine root cause and to take the preventive actions accordingly.Liaison with parent company & other branch offices in order to maximise WEG scope on projects.Liaise with the After Sales Service Department in Brazil / Portugal / India / China / US and other branches concerning all spares and service related issues in the region.Evaluate and analyze incoming warranty claimsFollow up the repairing processes in WEG’s Service Partners / FactoriesONGOING DUTIES· Participation in market sector based sales projects as directed by the Service Manager· Develop good customer relationships through excellent customer service.· Make significant contribution to after sales team by supporting colleagues commercially & technically.· Work closely with all after sales staff to maximise all opportunities including meetings in support of the business objectives.· Maximise the synergies between WEG products.QUALIFICATIONS / DESIRED CHARACTERISTICSBachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics EngineeringTechnical experience on VFD, Softstarters, Motors, Generators and TransformersSKILLS· Commercial understanding.· Sound technical basis in Power Engineering / fault finding and site work.· Knowledge in Vibration Analysis, Laser Alignment and Thermography is an advantage· Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.· To be self motivated and to be able to use own initiative.· To be willing to take ownership of projects.· Good at working with detail and being able to see the big picture.· An effective communicator – both orally and in writing.· Knowledge of Microsoft Office.· Have a friendly disposition and be able to build good relationships both internally with colleagues (team player) and externally with customers.· A passion for customer service.

Skills

The ability to build relationships with clients quickly.Familiar with creating reports and data analysis.Well-versed in generating site reports alongside knowledge of data analysis.Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and production equipment.
