ELECTRICAL BIM MODELER

Job Description

Department: Design<p><br></p>Reports To: Electrical Engineer/Project Manager<p><br></p>Job Purpose: To create and maintain accurate and detailed 3D Building Information Models (BIM) of electrical systems and components, to support the design, analysis, and construction of building projects.<p><br></p>Key Responsibilities:<p><br></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain high-quality 3D BIM models of electrical systems and components, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.</li><li>Work closely with electrical engineers, architects, and other design and construction professionals to ensure the model accurately represents the design intent.</li><li>Interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure the model is accurate, constructible, and meets project requirements.</li><li>Conduct design and analysis studies using the BIM model.</li><li>Generate and update construction documents such as fabrication and installation drawings from the BIM model.</li><li>Communicate and coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure model accuracy.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with industry standards, software updates, and advancements in BIM technology.</li><li>Assist with project delivery and quality control.<br></li></ul><p><br></p>Requirements:<p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree/diploma in electrical engineering or a related field.</li><li>Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD</li><li>Strong technical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Experience in the construction or AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry is a plus.<br></li></ul>
