Minutes away from The Dubai mall, renowned Jumeirah Beach, and with convenient access to all of Dubai’s world leading tourist attractions. The Holiday Inn & Staybridge Suites Dubai Business Bay will include 280 hotel rooms as well as 120 one- and two-bedroom apartments, convenient F&B offerings & meeting and events facilities.<br><br><strong>YOUR DAY TO DAY<br><br></strong>As General Technician, your main responsibilities will be to supervise the team and assist the Director of Engineering with general hotel and building maintenance, electricals and ensure that work is completed to a high standard within your established trade which meets the needs and expectations of your customers. Promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Do the Right Thing, Show We Care, Aim Higher, Celebrate Difference and Work Better Together and Service of the Holiday Inn Hotels and the brand ethos.<br><ul><li>Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, instructions and applicable federal, state and local codes; direct any rework or modification.</li><li>Oversee shift operation, reports, inventory and requisitions regarding equipment maintenance.</li><li>Familiar with all duties under the company Safety Management System including Emergency Response activities.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What We Need From You<br><br></strong>It is not just about completing tasks and doing the work! Previous experience in a supervisory technical role in Hotels required. Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
