<strong><u>Job Description</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Drainage Engineer (Design)</strong><p><br></p><strong>Dubai, UAE<br><br><strong><u>Job Description<br><br></u></strong>We are looking for a Drainage Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of experience in stormwater who will be given an opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects and further develop their skills and leadership expertise.<br><br>This role will see the successful candidate being involved with a range of projects with technical expertise in stormwater drainage design, sustainable drainage design, detailed design, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.<br><br><strong><u>Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li> Investigating and developing stormwater drainage designs with minimum supervision, based on principles of urban drainage design, SuDS, and Water sensitive design</li><li> Hydraulic and System design of the complex environment to meet site-specific requirements.</li><li> Understanding the biological and physical process of stormwater management</li><li> Applying innovative ideas, technology, and value engineering solutions</li><li> Supervision and support to junior engineers</li><li> Undertake hydrologic modeling, calculations, drawings, and report writing</li><li> Work across all stages of a project, taking a high level of responsibility but under the coaching and support of our senior engineers</li><li> Coordinating with the CAD / BIM / 3-D modeling teams on projects<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>Qualification & Experience<br></u></strong><ul><li> A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.</li><li> A Master’s Degree in Water Engineering/Hydrology would be an advantage.</li><li> Minimum 7+ years experience in water engineering, including stormwater drainage design, catchment analysis, stormwater management, and planning.</li><li> Sound knowledge of principles of hydrology and hydraulics.</li><li> Demonstrated understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling/design software packages used in the design of surface drainage, piped networks, cross drainage, and flood analysis, i.e., CAD skills, SWMM, HEC RAS, and HEC-HMS knowledge.</li><li> Experience with Infoworks ICM would be an added advantage.</li><li> Excellent command with GIS and CAD tools such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation.</li><li> The capability of mathematics to create calculation sheets and perform further calculations where required to ensure the design is appropriate.</li><li> Knowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS).</li><li> Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li> Excellent organizational skills.</li><li> A collegiate, team-player attitude.</li><li> Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualified (or equivalent) or well-progressed towards qualification.<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>Minimum Clearance Required To Start<br><br></u></strong>Not Applicable/None<br><br>Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
