Draftsman – Joinery and Furniture

Job Description

Our client, a well-known manufacturing company, is currently looking for a Draftsman with joinery and furniture experience. This role will be based at their production center in Sharjah.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations.Preparing detailed shop drawings based on concept drawings, pictures, or 3Ds for approval.
• Make production shop drawing to reduce material costs and unwanted operation details.
• Coordinate with the Production Managers and Production heads for the necessary updates and changes required for drawings.
• Verify and update drawings as per comments.
• Technical knowledge of wood and metal-related components of furniture.
• Surveying sites, developing shop drawings, and drafting when needed.
• Prepare joinery cutting lists if needed.
• Supports site supervision /coordination if required.

Requirements

• The candidate should have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
• Must have work experience as a draftsman, especially in joinery & fit-out works.
• Should have good knowledge of joinery fabrication drawings.
• Previous experience in interior and furniture companies is a must.
• Minimum experience of 3-5 years.
• Willing to stay in company accommodation
• working 6 days a week & if required should be flexible for working hours.
