We are currently looking for an experienced Document Controller (Saudi National) to form part of our Project Management Consultant (PMC) project team, based in Medinah, Saudi Arabia.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Attend the Saudi National Training Programme, Document Control workshops and relevant training sessions

Manage and control project documentation in accordance with project procedures
-
Ensure identification of documents and compliance with standard templates and format
-
Perform quality and compliance checks on all documentation received and before issuing.

Responsible for the collection, distribution, and storage of controlled documents, including being watchful of documents moving in and through the project to validate correct processing and recording.

Ensuring all metadata is supplied and properly registered into the system.

Providing Document Control support to project team members in retrieving documents

Register the receipt of documents from contractors
-
Transmit documents to internal and external parties for review and information
-
Transmit the comments on documents back to originators
-
Ensure that all issued project documents are correct in accordance with document control procedures
-
Maintain document filing & retention system for hard copy and electronic originals of documentation
-
Keep up to date all incoming and outgoing submittal and correspondence logs.

Assist with queries on documentation requirements and submissions
-
Hand-over of documentation to the Client Document Controller

Close out and archive project at end of shelf life
Requirements

Diploma or equivalent qualification
-
Min 3 years relevant experience in a similar role in Document control and record management
-
Possess good knowledge in document control and management processes and standards
-
Mature, proactive, take initiative and well organized
-
Systematic and able to work under pressure
-
Meticulous and able to follow through with tasks promptly
-
Able to work independently as well as in a team
-
Must be able to communicate confidently in both written and spoken English.

Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Words and PowerPoint)
-
Experience working with an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and SharePoint is advantageous
-
Arabic translation advantageous but not essential.

Middle East Experience is essential
