<p>Our Middle East office has an opening in Oman for a<br><br></p><p><strong>Diving Superintendent<br></strong><br><br><br>The purpose of this position is to take overall responsibility for all surface and subsea maintenance activities on the offshore facilities. The role is reporting directly to the Contract Manager. This role will coordinate with the Contract Manager and the Client to ensure all planned and preventative maintenance programs are organized in such a manner as to be completed within specified time frames with minimal impact to operations.<br><br></p><p><br><br><strong>Responsibilities will include:<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Liaising with client’s representative(s) on board the vessel.</li><li>Overall responsibility for all operational activities, including vessel deployment during and preceding any diving and/or equipment on board the vessel.</li><li>Maintaining company’s quality assurance and control philosophy on all operational and diving activities in accordance with the relevant standards and specifications as required by the client’s representative(s) and procedural documentation.</li><li>Ensuring all operational/diving activities undertaken complying with relevant legislative directives and in accordance with company’s diving/operational manuals and safety memoranda.</li><li>Implementing, maintaining, and documenting a routine preventative maintenance/certification program regarding the diving system and support equipment in accordance with safe working practice and relevant legislation.</li><li>Ensuring the implementation of company’s health and safety policy is undertaken by all the company employees and/or company’s subcontractors on board the vessel.</li><li>Ensuring that the personnel arriving on board the vessel are fully briefed regarding the work program, dive systems, operational and safety requirements, and disciplines in force.</li><li>Implementation of safety drills associated with the diving system.</li><li>Ensuring all required routine and breakdown maintenance of Equipment, including provision, and holding of spares/consumables, equipment repair, inspection and testing, certification, and provision of temporary replacement equipment.</li><li>Action any corrective measures raised by audits and/or inspections carried out by company’s Safety/QA department or third party interests, pertaining to personnel, the work site and support equipment.</li><li>Ensuring that the operation complies with all legal and company requirements. The progress of the diving and maintenance tasks undertaken.</li><li>Reporting incidents and other information to the company’s Middle East office.</li><li>Issuing written instructions to offshore personnel and authenticating procedural forms relating to the safe control of offshore activities.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><p>To be successful in this role you should have the following;<br><br></p><ul><li>At least 15 years diving experience, a minimum of 5 years’ experience with SBM’s maintenance and 5 years’ experience as diving supervisor.</li><li>Qualified to IMCA HSE part 2 or equivalent, IMCA Air Diving Supervisor IMCA Inspection Diver.</li><li>Holding a valid certificate of advanced first aid and diving medicine.</li><li>In-depth understanding and experience of marine industry and terminal operations.</li><li>Strong in organising and reporting.</li><li>Fluent in both written and spoken English is essential.</li><li>Experience in working with multinational and multicultural crew and staff.</li><li>Energetic, enthusiastic, optimistic, hands-on and the ability to manage stress.</li><li>Previous or current experience in the Middle East Region is seen as an advantage.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong><p><strong>Employment conditions:<br><br></strong></p><p>This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic diving professional with technical aspirations who is keen and eager to join an International Marine company.
