Role Purpose

  • Responsible for effective management of the incubation activities for new sectors/regions and acquisitions with effective support on business modelling, financial modelling, strategic long term financial plan and return analysis

Performance Measures (KPIs)

  • Adherence to FP&A policies, procedures and timelines
  • Effective Budget controls and transparency of variance reporting
  • Ability and availability of financial model, and analysis for critical and timely decision making

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of business and financial models for incubation businesses
  • Finalize the strategic financial long-term plans for incubation businesses and ensure alignment to strategic financial plan and business activities and progress
  • Support the team to prepare the analysis for returns from incubated units and provide views and recommendations on returns analysis
  • Review and finalize the commercial and financial due diligence activities from industry and geographic perspective
  • Maintain close relationship with sectors/ regions of NEOM
  • Execute activities in line with Group Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Reporting and Analysis policies, processes and calendars and recommend updates as required
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and technology in FP&A space and provide expert inputs to subsidiaries for improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of the function and its accelerators
  • Work closely with FRC department directors to ensure FP&A activities are conducted in line with accounting standards and alignment with financial controls and timelines for financial close, consolidation and reporting
  • Liaise and support Transformation Executive Director in the designing and execution of initiatives and transformation programs

 

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 15 or more years’ experience in a similar role with a real estate, construction, sovereign wealth fund, or investments company
  • Extensive knowledge in Financial & Management Accounting
  • Extensive knowledge in Planning, Budgeting and & Management Reporting
  • Extensive Knowledge of Financial and Management Consolidation
  • Knowledge of BI and EPM tools

Qualifications

  • Post-graduation degree/diploma or equivalent in management accounting and/or Finance
  • Finance/Accounting certifications/qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA, CMA, ACCA, or similar)
