Job Description
The Director of Sales & Marketing provides leadership to the sales team in order to position the property as the premier deluxe hotel/resort in the location. The Director ensures that sales and catering activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per room occupied.<br><br>We are looking for individuals who are proactive and who have a proven track record in sales. The applicant is expected to demonstrate the ability to represent Four Seasons on sales calls as well as participate in travel fairs and exhibitions. Strong management skills would also be a requirement for this role.<br><br>Applicants are required to have three to five years previous employment in a related position. Sales or Hospitality Education is preferable, however, not essential if applicants have previous relevant work experience.<br><br>Regular travel is required with this position.<br><br><strong><u>Qualification Requirements<br></u></strong><ul><li> Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the required language(s).</li><li> (4) year college/university degree (or equivalent).</li><li> Previous experience as a DOS or Sales Manager in a Hotel or Resort</li><li> Good personal & business reference</li><li> Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets (Lotus or Excel), word processing (Word or Word Perfect), and PowerPoint<br></li></ul><strong><u>Purpose<br></u></strong><ul><li> To uncover, prospect and sell group and individual business, in accordance with the objectives established in the Marketing Plan.</li><li> To monitor and motivate the sales activities and the sales team.</li><li> To ensure that all sales persons’ quotas are met.</li><li> To ensure that sales activities, individual accounts and group bookings are focused and coordinated with transient demand to yield the maximum revenue per available room.</li><li> To maximize sales in all hotel revenue areas.</li><li> To implement and support all FS sales and marketing MOS.</li></ul>
