<p>The role of the <strong>Director of Sales and Marketing</strong> is to contribute to the overall company vision which is to be the <strong>leading mixed-use sustainable and community-centric lifestyle operator </strong>that has the ability to manage and operate a diverse range of assets in different industries and locations. </p><p> </p><p>As a key member of our sales team, the role of the Director of Sales and Marketing is to proactively seek and manage individual and group business opportunities with significant revenue potential. You will be responsible for maximizing revenue by up-selling and achieving personal and team-related revenue goals. Additionally, you will drive customer loyalty through excellent service delivery and contribute to growing the company’s accounts. </p><p>The candidate for this role should align with these values, which will be used as a measure of performance and part of the KPI assessment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Curation:</strong> The role of the Director of Sales and Marketing involves carefully crafting and curating all interactions and initiatives. By leading the way, they can create a culture of innovation and excellence that drives the company’s success in the B2B market.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience/ Background:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic </li><li>Strong interpersonal and an ability to work with senior stakeholders and leaders, build connections across functional boundaries, as well as people of diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Minimum 4 years of experience in Hotel/Resort sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new group/catering business to achieve personal and each property’s revenue goals.</li><li>Focuses efforts on group/catering/rooms accounts with significant potential sales revenue.</li><li>Develops effective group/catering sales plans and actions.</li><li>Designs, develops, and sells creative catered events.</li><li>Maximizes revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage plus rooms.</li><li>Understands the overall market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand, etc., and knows how to sell against them.</li><li>Closes the best opportunities based on market conditions and individual property needs.</li><li>Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.</li><li>Cross sell other properties of Kerten Hospitality.</li><li>Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.</li><li>Supports the brand’s Service and Relationship Strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer’s experience.</li><li>Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event.</li><li>Gains understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solutions both prior to and during the program/event.</li><li>Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence).</li><li>Builds successful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g., Market Sales, Strategic Accounts) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative.</li><li>Conducts site inspections and supervises community manager to create engaging community experiences that attract and retain guests, contributing to growth initiatives.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS </strong></p><p><br></p><p>In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATION STANDARDS</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.</li><li>Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related degree is desired.</li></ul><p></p>
