Our client is a private multi-specialty hospital in Kuwait. Their 110 bed facility offers both inpatient and outpatient services that cover a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. Their 1,000 healthcare professionals work together to provide essential health care services in inpatient, outpatient and a specialized department for Essential Wellness within the concept of Integrative Medicine.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for strategic planning and ensuring operational excellence in the department. This role has Board-level responsibility for nursing and other staff, providing strong leadership and encouraging innovation and strategic thinking. The Director of Nursing adheres to hospital policies and professional ethics standards. Furthermore you will be responsible for contributing to the hospital’s vision and mission, working towards achieving hospital/department and individual goals as well as ensuring high standards for all departments and implementing and oversee departmental policies. You have a broad set of responsibilities and will be in contact with different kinds of departments.

  • Organised, and proactive, you will be in charge of recruiting training and developing your team. A real people person who is energetic and likes dealing with not only patients but managing a nursing team also. Comfortable in preparing and drafting reports, and implementing departmental policy both existing and new when required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge and expertise in developing and implementing nursing policies, guidelines and protocols;
  • Ability to manage multiple clinical and administrative tasks efficiently and effectively;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Ability to lead and implement change;
  • Professional with positive attitude accompanied with high ethical and moral values;

Education & Qualifications:

  • Master/Bachelor degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing. Holds valid licensure in country of origin and licensed to practice in Kuwait;
  • Minimum of 12 to 15 yrs of Nursing experience and at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory/ Head of Department role;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in nursing practice, Leadership role and Administrative activities;
