Job Description

Summary

Manage the execution of IPP/Auction process, for the roll-out of wind and solar sites.

Build out the ENOWA renewable power generation portfolio (Approx 20GW by 2030 and 60GW by 2050) to be the world’s most advanced renewable energy hub and build the first at-scale, fully renewable power system, at record low cost

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Lead the build-up of dedicated ENOWA project organization for the roll out of the identified wind and solar IPP auctions.
  • Accountable for all aspects of the IPP auction process from initial roadshows to commercial operation of the generation assets.
  • Accountable for interface with KSA’s PIF as the credit support mechanism for the PPA’s
  • Drive commercial outcomes in line with NEOM’s vision
  • Set up effective performance, risk & opportunity management and project reporting for IPP Auction
  • processes
  • Establish pro-active risk and commercial management to effectively avoid delays and non-conformance cost
  • Manage interfaces and necessary alignment with relevant stakeholders
    • asset owners and operators within ENOWA
    • end customers within NEOM
    • key executive ENOWA/NEOM stakeholders

  • Key advisors to the process including Strategic, Legal, Financial and Technical

  • Extensive experience of setting up, negotiating and executing IPP Auction
  • Processes from a Bidder or Offtaker perspective. (Middle East experience
  • highly valued)

  • Strong professional ethics

Social competence

  • Well-connected in the Middle East region and/or relevant Bidders, Lenders
  • and EPC landscape
  • Negotiation/conflict management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Coaching skills
  • Bachelors’s Degree in an engineering/commercial discipline
  • Project Management or Business Administration qualifications
  • 20+ years relevant work experience and strong track record as general
  • manager and director/High-level advisor of project development organizations
  • English Language fluency (spoken and written)
