<strong>Overview</strong><p><br></p><strong> Position </strong><p><br></p>Director, commercial and business development<p><br></p><strong> Department </strong><p><br></p><strong> Mining & Green Steel </strong><p><br></p><strong> Division/Section </strong><p><br></p><strong> Mining & Green Steel </strong><p><br></p><strong> Sector </strong><p><br></p><strong> OXAGON </strong><p><br></p><strong> Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>This individual will be responsible for all partnership, business development and commercial aspects of NEOM’s green mining & steel project.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities & Activities</strong><p><br></p><strong> Leadership </strong><ul><li></li><ul><li> Work closely with the executive leadership team, partners and other key stakeholders, setting the commercial strategy, negotiations, and communicating key milestones/updates regularly </li><li> Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise business development and commercial team </li></ul></ul><p><br></p><strong> Partnership </strong><ul><li></li><ul><li> Set the overall strategy for partnerships and joint venture structure </li><li> Lead engagement and information exchange with domestic and international miners and steelmakers </li><li> Coordinate all aspects of partnership and JV agreements with partners including preliminary MOU negotiation & documentation and JV negotiation & documentation </li><li> Select and gain approval for final partner structure and equity stakes </li></ul></ul><p><br></p><strong> Pricing & offtakes </strong><ul><li></li><ul><li> Engage with partners and third-party service providers to complete an iron ore and steel market study including pricing and product mix by segment </li><li> Work with partners to make a decision on plant size and configuration </li><li> Work with partners, NEOM companies and others for preliminary off-take and product pricing MOUs </li><li> Work with NEOM sector teams to develop MOUs on tariff rates structures and utility or infrastructure pricing </li></ul></ul><p><br></p><strong> Commercial </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Develop and execute a funding plan for NEOM’s portion of project </li><li> Overall responsibility for project financial analysis and modeling </li><li> Engage with key stakeholders re incentives for the project </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Communications & stakeholders </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Manage project stakeholder engagement </li><li> Development of stakeholder engagement plan </li><li> Manage external project communications </li><li> Develop external communication plan including press releases at key project milestones </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills & Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><strong> Knowledge, Skills and Experience </strong><ul><li></li><ul><li> Prior experience in heavy industrial business development or commercial role. (Strong preference for experience in iron ore mining or steel industry.) </li><li> Prior experience of joint venture structure and agreements, merger and acquisition transactions </li><li> Good knowledge of product pricing, sales strategy, off-take agreements, transfer pricing agreements </li><li> Superior oral and written communications skills, ability to effectively engage with a diverse group of project stakeholders </li><li> Comfortable managing a complex project in an ambiguous environment </li><li> Ability to lead multi-faceted projects and teams to drive decisions and outcomes </li><li> Ability to manage a heavy workload and travel for short periods (1-2 weeks) </li><li> Strong collaboration skills </li></ul></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><ul><li></li><ul><li> Minimum of 15-20 years of related experience or more in business development or commercial role in a heavy industrial sector.
