<strong><u>Job Description<br><br></u></strong>Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to provides management and direction for one Engineering discipline or a major section within one of the larger disciplines. May be assigned to a large program exceeding $250 million in total installed cost as Manager of all Engineering<br><br><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing<br></u></strong><ul><li>Establish and manage all design and engineering disciplines resources to support efficient and complete reviews of deliverables from all engineering disciplines during design and construction phases.</li><li>Represent client in engagement with the selected designer and ensures completeness and adequacy of design works outcomes.</li><li>Reviews and approves discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules on each project. Maintains appropriate staffing level, including temporary personnel, as needed. Reviews and approves staff forecasting reports.</li><li>Manages all engineering and design efforts for all disciplines required for the project. Coordinates all discipline staffing requirements for the program.</li><li>Monitors the quality and progress of the discipline on the project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied. Works closely with Project Manager to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.</li><li>Establishes standards and procedures manuals for the discipline. Recommends improvements to department procedures.</li><li>Supports pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant.</li><li>Ensures performance within overhead budgets authorized for the discipline.</li><li>Actively participates in and promotes the Quality Improvement Program.</li><li>Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>What Required Skills You’ll Bring<br></u></strong><ul><li>Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.</li><li> Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>What Desired Skills You’ll Bring<br></u></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related field)</li><li>15+ years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.</li><li>Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society is required.<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>Minimum Clearance Required To Start<br><br></u></strong>Not Applicable/None<br><br>Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
