<p>The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meet all necessary design responsibilities.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Create drawings and models in CAD for OSC owned downhole tools.</li><li>Build Bill of Materials (BOM) for OSC owned downhole tools.</li><li>Assist with engineering specification and manual administration and development.</li><li>Administer storage of OSC downhole tool drawings, models, specs and BOMs within a Product Document Management (PDM) System.</li><li>Assist manufacturing with technical queries related to building OSC owned products.</li><li>Ensure manufacturing has all required documentation to build OSC owned downhole tools.</li><li>Support sales to sell OSC owned product.</li><li>Support senior designer to design new OSC product and sustain existing OSC products.</li><li>Support product engineers with technical queries/issues related to design. </li><li>Participate in design reviews for completed designs.</li><li>Assist and occasionally approve manufacturing deviations/substitutions for OSC owned products.</li><li>Administer and help develop design quality process and integrate into Downhole Tool Sales’ Quality Management System.</li><li>Assist with client product application requirements and product non-conformances.</li><li>Assist product engineers with pre-job planning and manage and close out product quality incidents.</li><li>Train maintenance staff on servicing procedures. </li><li>Confers with clients and their engineering staff to assess equipment needs for specific downhole applications.</li><li>Plans and modifies downhole tools for specific client requirements while ensuring proper coordination from an overall equipment offering perspective.</li><li>Coordinates with OSC Downhole Tool manufacturing regarding the engineering of prototype tools and enhancements to current tool offerings.</li><li>Attends trade exhibitions to demonstrate technical capabilities of OSC’s suite of tools.</li><li>Develops Oilfields Supply Center Limited’s own brand identity and promote same to pertinent key clients.</li><li>Ascertains for certain specific clients the need for a strong service orientation and ensure that the organization is able to support same.</li><li>In conjunction with the sales team ensure that all product literature (technical and marketing) is accurate, current and reflects the Company’s image appropriately.</li><li>Support, adhere and promote the HSE policy of the company.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline preferably with a downhole drilling tool design background.</li><li>Proven experience in a design role in the upstream Oil &amp; Gas industry.</li><li>Knowledge of the upstream Oil &amp; Gas industry with specific competencies related to the functional use of downhole tools and equipment.</li><li>CAD experience.</li><li>Proficient in Solidworks.</li><li>PDM system knowledge.</li><li>QMS knowledge.</li><li>API, NS1 and DS1 Inspection knowledge.</li><li>NCR management.</li><li>Ability to perform Jar Placement or similar BHA analysis.</li><li>Ability to evaluate Rig Dilling Data, Bit Run/ Dull Condition Reports, Geological/ Formation Data and Post Run Tool Reports to provide client failure analysis reports with recommendations to optimize product performance.</li><li>Advanced computer program skills like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power-point.</li><li>Training and Presentation skills.</li><li>Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills.</li><li>Able to coordinate effectively in cross-functional team.</li></ul>
