<p><strong><u>Join InvestHK’s Investment Promotion Team in Dubai</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>InvestHK is looking for dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic professional to join a new investment promotion team established in Dubai within the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO).</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Deputy Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion</strong></p><p><br></p><p>InvestHK is the department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government tasked to attract and retain foreign direct investments in Hong Kong.</p><p><br></p><p>Hong Kong is one of the world’s most dynamic, vibrant and international cities. As a leading international financial centre, Hong Kong is a premier business hub for companies expanding business in Asia and tapping into fast-growing opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, ASEAN and under the Belt and Road initiative.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion, the Deputy Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion is responsible for carrying out Hong Kong’s investment promotion activities across United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, so as to assist InvestHK in driving the investment promotion activities, achieving performance targets and managing project generation, as well as working with the HKETO in talent attraction.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Main Job Duties</strong></p><p>(i) To assist in implementing the annual geographic business plan for promoting inward investment to Hong Kong;</p><p>(ii) To reach out to target companies via conducting marketing activities and promotional campaigns as well as individual company visits and to provide timely advice and practical assistance to potential investors;</p><p>(iii) To develop links and networks with business multiplier organisations and to identify opportunities that can help raise the profile of Hong Kong and InvestHK;</p><p>(iv) To organise and support investment promotion visits by sector teams and directorate from InvestHK Head Office;</p><p>(v) To collect and analyse market intelligence and provide feedback to sector teams;</p><p>(vi) To oversee the work of Assistant Manager of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion;</p><p>(vii) To maintain proper records of the contacts and leads generated as well as the aforementioned activities via various means including CRM, emails and file record;</p><p>(viii) To support the HKETO in attracting talents to Hong Kong; and</p><p>(ix) To support the HKETO activities as and when required.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Entry Requirements</strong></p><p>(i) A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in business administration, finance, economics, or international marketing; a higher degree would be an advantage;</p><p>(ii) A minimum of 5 years of international sales and/or business development experience, preferably in foreign direct investment promotion or economic development, at a managerial position;</p><p>(iii) Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, proficiency in Arabic would be an advantage;</p><p>(iv) Analytical and problem solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision making and performance analysis would be an advantage;</p><p>(v) Broad knowledge of the economy in the Middle East and relevant working experience in the Middle East; experience of living and/or doing business in Hong Kong would be an asset;</p><p>(vi) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau and Power BI would be an asset;</p><p>(vii) Must be a resident of the UAE at the time of hire and be eligible to work in the UAE; and</p><p>(viii) Must have no impediments to obtain and hold a work permit to work legally in the UAE.</p><p><br></p><p>Starting salary from <strong>273,960 AED gross per annum</strong>, depending upon experience.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p><p>Applications must include: (1) a covering letter; and (2) a full curriculum vitae in English (please also indicate your language proficiency, if any, therein); applicants are required to provide supporting documents (e.g. certificates, reference letters, copy of Emirates ID) for their language proficiency, academic qualifications, professional experience and UAE residency.</p><p><br></p><p>Your application should reach Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai by e-mail at <strong>recruitment@hketodubai.gov.hk by 23:59 (Dubai time) on 17 July 2023 (Monday)</strong>.
