Job Description
<p>Position Overview:</p><p>We are seeking a reliable and organized Delivery Driver and Warehouse Organizer to join our team at iVet. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering orders to our customers promptly and efficiently. Additionally, you will be partly responsible for organizing the warehouse and ensuring smooth order fulfillment processes.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Safely and efficiently deliver orders to customers in a timely manner, following assigned routes and schedules.</li><li>Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.</li><li>Verify the accuracy of delivery orders by comparing them with the invoices or delivery notes.</li><li>Collect payments from customers, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records of transactions.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.</li><li>Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during the delivery process.</li><li>Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and reporting any mechanical issues or damages to the supervisor.</li><li>Assist in organizing the warehouse, ensuring that products are properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible.</li><li>Participate in inventory management activities, including stock counting, reconciliation, and reporting any discrepancies.</li><li>Collaborate with the warehouse team to receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.</li><li>Assist in picking and packing orders, preparing them for delivery or shipment.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse, including arranging products, disposing of packaging materials, and keeping aisles clear.</li><li>Assist in periodic stocktaking and maintaining accurate inventory records.</li><li>Collaborate with other team members to optimize delivery routes, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency.</li><li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and confidentiality.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.</li><li>Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a similar industry.</li><li>Familiarity with local traffic laws and routes within the assigned delivery area.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple deliveries and maintain an organized warehouse.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.</li><li>Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and packages.</li><li>Basic computer skills to maintain delivery and inventory records.</li><li>Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory management software is a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Note: This job description is intended to outline the general responsibilities and qualifications of the Delivery Driver and Warehouse Organizer at iVet.
