DC System Operations Engineer

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Carry out day to day operations of Data Centre Operations activities on a shift basis.
• Carry out Core Banking Application Finastra-Equation EOD, process, Monitoring and take appropriate actions in case of errors.
• Carry out Application TSYS-Prime Operation and EOD processes.
• Carry out data processing activities on all application systems to support business.
• Carry out tasks as per daily checklist and SOP.
• Respond to user queries as relating to the state of various systems in Data Centre Operations.
• Generate daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc reports (and their email equivalent) for distribution.
• Notify NOC to log incidents in case of issues.
• Escalation of issues to application support team for quick resolution.
• Monitor daily backups and take action in case of failures.
• Perform manual server restarts as per schedule timeframe.
• Carry out Adhoc activities such as Equation Library backup/Entire System backup and IPL (Initial program load) of IBM P9 machine on scheduled basis & on demand. 
• Health check of all the equipment’s at Data Centers on frequently basis

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
