Job Description

<strong>Role Profile<br></strong>Responsible for the installation, configuration, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Also be involved in the troubleshooting of any issues.<br><br><strong>Key Accountabilities &amp; Decision Ownership<br></strong><ul><li>Maintains the physical database design, security enforcement, and database performance plan </li><li>Implements the proper disaster recovery plans for the databases </li><li>Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases, and completing maintenance requirements. </li><li>Controls, monitors &amp; audits the user access level for each segment in the database </li><li>Handles the backup and recovery of the databases and ensures the backup and restore validity, maintaining archived data </li></ul><p><br></p>Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience<p><br></p><ul><li>Dedication, sense of ownership, and ability to work within a team</li><li>Innovative &amp; creative thinking for new solutions, technologies and data protection</li><li>Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and analytical skills </li><li>The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines cross the function groups</li><li>Eye for detail and accuracy<br><br></li></ul><strong>Must have technical / professional qualifications:<br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any relevant field </li><li>1 to 2 years of work experience in managing databases </li><li>Preferable to have technical certificates in Oracle or other databases software </li><li>Good knowledge of relational/non-relational database management systems</li></ul>
