Data Engineer/Data Analyst

Job Description

The role of the Senior Data Engineer is to build data warehousing and pipeline activities by managing both the business and technical aspects to ensure that all business units receive timely data in a usable format.

Senior Data Engineer Build, operate and maintain data architecture and infrastructure for optimal data preparation and transformation.

Involved in the delivery of scalable data and analytics solutions Working with application owners and DBAs to ensure the data warehouse integrates well across the environment and has accurate and timely data Close cooperation with IT Infrastructure teams

collaborating on data projects and development of data marts.

Collaborate with data science team and governance to ensure alignment on data warehouse and build the data architecture that will drive insights. Ensuring data governance requirements are built into the data warehouse and related tools Follow up with the stakeholders for Data Engineering related tasks.

Ensure the daily jobs have run and any issues resolved in time. Mentor the juniors in the team. Backup to the Data Engineering Lead.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of data reporting tools, SQL Extensive knowledge of data concepts including ETL & Data Storage Knowledge of Data warehousing concepts.

Experience in at least one coding language with DB design and programming language.

Basic networking knowledge

Basic server and PC concepts Basic Windows AD knowledge Shell scripting knowledge
