Job Description

Full-time position reporting to the Head of Admissions 

The Data Analysis and Reporting Officer is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting institutional data and providing valuable insights that drive informed business decisions. The role involves setting up data management policies and processes, developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations, optimizing our CRM systems, and collaborating with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights and recommendations.

Data Management

  • Own and manage a central data hub that requires collaborating with other business units within HEC Paris in Qatar and the main campus, such as Business Development and Sales, Community Engagement, Operations, etc.
  • Act as lead for new CRM implementation
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, quality, and completeness through effective data governance practices
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to establish and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee data collection, validation, storage, and retrieval processes to ensure data consistency and integrity
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, implementing measures to improve data accuracy and consistency
  • Monitor data privacy and security compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and policies

Data analysis and interpretation

  • Extract, clean, and transform data from various institutional sources and CRM systems
  • Perform advanced data analysis, using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Interpret complex data sets and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define analytical requirements and identify key performance indicators (KPIs)

Data visualization and reporting

  • Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions or explore new opportunities
  • Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights.
  • Create clear, concise reports and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations
  • Present data-driven insights to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making
  • Continuously improve data visualization techniques to enhance clarity and impact

Data privacy and security

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational data security policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data during analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish and maintain data protection measures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred
  • 6+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably with CRM management and data analysis experience
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and Adobe
  • Advanced Excel level (Pivot table, VBA)
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools
  • Experience working with CRM systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce) and familiarity with CRM data structures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex and large datasets
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools to create meaningful and impactful visualizations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively and courteously with different stakeholders
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration
  • Flexibility and willingness to work extended and non-traditional hours during peak periods
