The Company delivers the majority of the country’s crude oil production and natural gas supply.<p><br></p>Purpose of the Job<p><br></p>To maintain PDO’s competitive position in the market in order to attract and retain the highest caliber employees, whilst ensuring transparency and dialogue at all levels<p><br></p>Education & Experience<p><br></p><ul><li> Degree in HRM or equivalent.</li><li> CIPD or other professional qualifications.</li><li> 15 years experience in remuneration and benefits, ER/IR with proven leadership skills.</li><li> Excellent communications and networking skills.</li></ul><p><br></p>Main Responsibilities<p><br></p><ul><li> HR Policies and Procedures</li></ul><p><br></p>Is responsible for ensuring that PDO has at all times up to date, workable and competitive HR policies and streamlined procedures to implement them. Ensure that all approved policies and procedures are effectively communicated across the organization.<p><br></p><ul><li> Remuneration and Benefits</li></ul><p><br></p>Set and agree PDO’s remuneration and benefits philosophies, and develops strategies to implement them. Ensure that all of the various elements of PDO’s remuneration and benefits programs are maintained at competitive affordable and workable levels. Manage PDO’s participation in various local, regional and global compensation surveys and ensure that PDO’s senior management is kept fully advised on market levels and trends.<p><br></p><ul><li> Cultture and Diversity & Inclusion</li></ul><p><br></p>Assure that Diversity & inclusion agendas are successfully implemented and in line with businesses objectives, promoting a workplace culture that supports and demonstrates respect and fairness in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders, and behaviors which are consistent with the Company’s business principles, ethics and core values. Ensure that PDO’s employee engagement practices are aligned with external best practices and trends.<p><br></p><ul><li> Employee Relations</li></ul><p><br></p>Manage PDO’s employee relations activities, including the interface with the Trade Union. Ensure that PDO’s policies and programs are in full accordance with the country’s labor law and in full compliance with any negotiated agreements. Keep senior management apprised of all development to enable the company to take effective decisions. Chairs the PDO Disciplinary Panel with responsibility for approving Final Warnings and making recommendations on employee dismissals.<p><br></p><ul><li> Employee Value Proposition</li></ul><p><br></p>Keeps PDO upto date with best practices and policies to ensure that PDO’s Employee Value Proposition, is supporting company objectives. Maintain and report on related statistics.<p><br></p><ul><li> Ongoing Awareness</li></ul><p><br></p>Keep abreast of local, regional and international developments in employee relations and HR, and maintain effective working relationships with Shell Group HR to ensure ongoing compatibility between local and group policies.<p><br></p><ul><li> Partnerships</li></ul><p><br></p>Foster and develop partnerships between PDO, various ministries, government agencies and committees and associated contractors on employment terms and conditions, policies, procedures and the potential for disputes and labor unrest.
