This role primarily involves managing and identifying credit risks, recommending mitigating strategies, and implementing credit policies and procedures that will maximize client satisfaction, maintain profitable customer relationships, and drive overall financial stability.</p><p><br></p><p><span>Key Responsibilities:</span></p><ol><li>Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential clients and regularly reassess the credit ratings of existing clients.</li><li>Develop and implement risk management protocols and policies, following industry standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop strategies that strike a balance between growth and risk.</li><li>Prepare reports detailing credit risk assessment findings and present them to management and stakeholders.</li><li>Monitor changes in credit risk and economic trends that might affect the company’s lending practices.</li><li>Participate in deal structuring and corporate ratings discussions, offering risk-based insights and advice.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all internal controls, procedures, and risk models.</li><li>Drive continuous improvements in the credit risk function by staying updated with emerging risk management practices and financial industry developments.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><span>Qualifications:</span></p><ol><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications (like FRM, CFA) would be a plus.</li><li>Extensive experience in credit risk management, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, and risk analysis.</li><li>Proficient in risk management software and tools.</li><li>Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to process complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.</li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, market trends, and industry best practices in risk management.</li></ol><p><br></p>
