Job Description
The mission of the Cost & Price Accountant is to provide support to the Plant Controller with the margin analysis and follow up of different indicators (purchasing savings, commercial task,) to achieve plant financial goals. Cost & Price Accountant deals with Sales and Purchasing reports, inventory, investment and tooling/ERD controls and must ensure the compliance with internal control and SOX requirements.
Main Missions :
- Ensure the current margin is aligned with the prices and cost agreed by each project.
- Follow-up of sales prices and material cost and correct update in the system.
- Confirms to the division the Purchase savings has applied in the material cost
- Control the impact in I/S of the process changes for each program each quarterly
- Roll forward of PAR and Profitability
- Inbound and Outbound freight control.
- Ensures the monthly control of the transport cost (Inbound and Outbound).
- Validate the inventory control and analyze the quality information from the inventory with the head of departments (logistics and quality)
- Solve on a timely manner any discrepancy found in term of Daily deliveries control
- Ensure Inventory control: Stock follow up / Cycle counts & action plan
- Ensure that fixed assets and depreciation has recorded properly in local and US GAAP books.
- Ensure the CAPEX expenditure is aligned with the purchase orders approved by the plant manager and the controller. Ensure that the CAPEX expenditure complies with the limit approved in the PAR.
- Ensure the Fixed assets process is clearly defined, and the process is known by all the plant according to the LEAP manual (setup and disposal) and the equipment record is clearly defined and understandable.
- Support Program management in the Capex Control and ensure the correct allocation for each program
- Manage the meetings with Program Management to validate every month PAR TRACKER
- Follow up all Costumer Toolingโs PO since the PAR Approval, to ensure the Billing and the recovering to be complying with the PAR
- Track all Modifications of tooling – Expenses and recovering during the Program Phase
- Prepare the FCST of tooling/ Capex / launch Cost / Income complying the divisions deadlines
- Control the launch Cost of each Program in a Monthly basis complying the divisions deadlines
To be successful for this role :
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous Experience in automotive Industry, preferably in a similar position
- SAP knowledge or similar ERP system
- Good knowledge of in Office tools (Excel) and HFM (reporting system)
- Good analytical vision.
Language Skills:
- Good communication skills in both French and English
