<strong>Job Description</strong><p><br></p>GlobeMed Group, the largest Healthcare Benefits Management company in the MENA region is looking for a Cost Accounting Officer who will be responsible for performing cost analyses and identify and recommend cost-effective solutions. Should possess excellent analytical skills along with the ability to combine different data and calculate profit margins. Should be able to create detailed reports that present cost-effective solutions for the company. Ultimately, should build updated databases and manage cost information to maximize profitability for the company<p><br></p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<p><br></p><ul><li>Plan, study, and collect cost information to determine costs of different business activities. </li><li>Review and analyze expense and cost reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability, per service, per product, per client, per division and per operation. </li><li>Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by service type, by client type and by operation. </li><li>Evaluate and report on periodic variances and their rout-causes analysis, focusing in particular on spending variances. </li><li>Clarify periodic variances with relevant stakeholders. </li><li>Ensure correct cost allocation per department. </li><li>Analyze changes in service and product design and determine effects on costs. </li><li>Analyze actual business activities costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual and budgeted costs. </li><li>Provide management with cost reports specifying and comparing factors affecting the profitability per product, per service type, per client, and per operation. </li><li>Work closely with HoD to optimize on the logging and utilization of time using KPI’s and Benchmarking options. </li><li>Maintain the Cost Accounting System, and enhance on its functionalities by applying continuous improvement and innovation and automated solutions. </li><li>Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development such as cost accounting dashboard, integration of different BI tools and applications, production of cost reports per service type, per client, per operation, and other. </li><li>Assist in month-end closing and prepare journal entries as necessary. </li><li>Conduct periodic physical inventories and cycle counts. </li><li>Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity cost reports and gross margin schedules to management. </li><li>Work in special projects as required and requested</li></ul> Qualifications<p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business. </li><li>Minimum of 7 solid years of Cost Accounting</li><li>Affinity to systems, numbers and have an analytical mindset – Oracle system knowledge is a distinct advantage</li><li>English, Arabic languages</li><li>Customer-centric mindset and team spirit</li><li>Reliability and autonomy</li></ul>
