Job Description

Responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure following appropriate accounting control procedures. <p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, EOSB, and other deductions.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee details and payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay scale in ERP system.</li><li>Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions in ERP system.</li><li>Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems and payment procedures.</li><li>Follow up on receiving the employees visa processing bills from HR department, on weekly basis, for accounting.</li><li>Assist HR department in the preparation of monthly payroll file starting 20th of each month for all subsidiaries.</li><li>Reconcile all employee ledgers to make sure all salaries have been settled and deductions/employee receivables have been cleared on monthly basis.</li><li>Prepare the monthly end of service benefits, leave expenses and consumptions, and air ticket allowance provisions file, and upload it on the ERP system. </li><li>Review the employee clearance file to ensure the accuracy of the settlement claim and recovery of any pending dues, by verifying his/her entitlement for the end of service benefits, leaves compensation, and air ticket allowance as per their employment contracts, and in compliance with the Ministry of Human Resources regulations of each country. </li><li>Prepare, review and record the employees social security charges and income taxes on time, if applicable.</li><li>Ensure the completion and accuracy of all employees related expense records in the income statements by 15thof each month. </li><li>Ensure the completion, accuracy, and reconciliation of all employee balance sheet ledgers data by 20th of each month before preparation of payroll files. </li><li>Prepare and assist management with the yearly workforce planning and budgeting reports, as required.</li><li>Facilitate audit of employees salaries and benefits by providing records and documentation to auditors.</li><li>Implement all internal policies and procedures issued by the management. </li><li>Perform any other work assigned to you by the management, when required. <br></li></ul><p><br></p>Two to Three years of work experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role<p><br></p>Hands-on experience with HRIS and accounting software<p><br></p>Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors<p><br></p>Good knowledge of labour legislation<p><br></p>Time-management skills<p><br></p>Ability to handle confidential information<p><br></p>BSc/MBA in Accounting, Human Resources or a relevant field
