<p><strong>Purpose:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Corporate development managers are responsible for deal origination, execution and monitoring within their company. They work with senior management to identify and assess potential acquisition, joint venture and partnership opportunities. They also lead the process of negotiating and closing deals. Corporate development managers typically have a technical background, and work in close partnership with the companyโ€™s engineering team to assess the feasibility and value of potential acquisitions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all acquisition, joint venture and partnership activity</li><li>Identify and assess potential opportunities</li><li>Negotiate and close deals</li><li>Work with senior management to set overall strategy</li><li>Set long-term goals &amp; formulate growth strategies</li><li>Create plans to achieve these goals and monitor their implementation</li><li>Evaluate opportunities and threats to the organization’s success</li><li>Maintain a strong network of industry, government and investment community contacts</li><li>Apply game theory techniques to strategic partner/government negotiations</li><li>Develop and maintain a detailed roadmap of maximizing value across competing value-creation alternatives</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>7+ years in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, or similar role</li><li>Technical/Business degree with substantial understanding of Business, Corporate Finance and Accounting. Good understanding of Geology, Mining, Mineral Processing, and Law</li><li>Fluent English. Other languages are an advantage, particularly: Arabic, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian</li><li><strong>Ready to relocate and travel extensively (work location will be discussed additionally)</strong></li><li>Strong deal execution skills</li><li>Proven track record of successful negotiations</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior management and key industry contacts</li><li>Strong analytical and research skills</li><li>Proven track record of finding and validating data from various alternative sources to synthesize an accurate overall situation and alternatives for strategic decision making</li><li>Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills</li></ul>
