<strong>Careers that Change Lives<br></strong> <p><br></p>Provide day to day assistance and organization for the delivery of pre/post events’ support in the management of conventions and events for the Emerging Africa Region.<p><br></p>Promote and enhance exceptional delivery of events to the organization while being the gatekeeper of Medtronic’s policies and procedures.<p><br></p><strong> A Day in the Life </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Plans and implements events, be the key liaison between other internal departments – Operating Units’ Events, Marketing, Training & Education (T&E), Finance, Legal & Compliance, etc.</li><li> Works with vendors to arrange space, literature, hotels, equipment rental, and set-up and dismantling of the exhibit.</li><li> Manage the life cycle of events, e-Cats, early reservations/registration, agency fees, no show/cancellation policies, budgets, payments, etc.</li><li> Collaborate with the various Operating Units across the region by bringing synergies and homogenizing processes.</li><li> Resolve issues related to events management on a local and regional level</li><li> Arranges for specific events at national conventions and may also participate in international conventions.</li><li> Works with vendors to arrange space, literature, hotels, equipment rental.</li><li> Develops plans, budgets, and generates reports providing information on cost-per-contact, audience profiles, and representatives’ comments.</li><li> Works with marketing and sales departments on show selection decisions.</li><li> Be the gatekeeper of compliance and ensure that all teams and transactions are done compliant to MDT policies and BCS regulations.<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Must Haves </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Good communication skills</li><li> Good negotiation skills</li><li> Organizational Skills</li><li> Follow up</li><li> Strategic thinking<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong> We Offer </strong><p><br></p>We offer a competitive salary and benefits package to all our employees:<p><br></p><ul><li> Flexible working environment</li><li> Annual Incentive Plan % depending on company results</li><li> Pension scheme and group discount on healthcare insurance</li><li> Training possibilities via Cornerstone/Harvard Manage Monitor/Skills Lab</li><li> Employee Assistance Program and Recognize!
