<p>Our valued client is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Controller. The ideal candidate will be expected to efficiently manage the accounting team and multiple client accounts, while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role also includes preparing financial statements and reports, providing analytical insights for strategic decision-making, and actively participating in various projects.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee and guide the accounting team, encompassing hiring, development, and performance evaluation</li><li>Handle multiple client accounts concurrently, maintaining clear communication with clients to procure necessary data</li><li>Safeguard the precision and completeness of all financial records, which include the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets</li><li>Examine and sanction journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting transactions</li><li>Supervise month-end and year-end close processes, involving the creation of financial statements and supplementary schedules</li><li>Formulate and scrutinize financial reports and analyses for internal management, board members, and external stakeholders</li><li>Guarantee adherence to accounting norms, tax laws, and other fiscal reporting mandates</li><li>Innovate and enforce accounting policies and protocols to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the accounting division</li><li>Supervise and forecast cash flow, managing working capital effectively</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other finance professionals as required</li><li>Offer financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making</li><li>Engage in special projects and initiatives as deemed necessary</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Must possess a Bachelorβs degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory</li><li>A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity</li><li>Profound understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and other pertinent accounting principles and standards</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools</li><li>Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities</li><li>Keen attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple tasks while adhering to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment</li><li>Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within all levels of the organization</li><li>Strong leadership capabilities, with an emphasis on inspiring and developing a team.</li></ul>
