<p><strong>Contract Paralegal – Global Bulk Physical Trading House (Steel Sector)</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are representing a leading global bulk physical trading house specializing in steel sector trading. We are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their team in Dubai. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional with expertise in contract and document checking within the commodities trading industry. The Paralegal will play a vital role in supporting their operations and will report directly to the CEO.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p><ol><li>Conduct thorough and meticulous reviews of contracts and legal documents related to commodities trading.</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations in all trading activities.</li><li>Identify potential legal risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.</li><li>Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including traders, finance, and operations teams, to ensure legal requirements are met.</li><li>Assist in drafting and reviewing various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.</li><li>Research and stay up to date with industry-specific legal developments, regulations, and best practices.</li><li>Liaise with external legal counsel as necessary and manage relationships with external stakeholders.</li><li>Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams on day-to-day operational matters.</li><li>Support the resolution of legal disputes and assist in the negotiation and settlement of claims.</li><li>Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation and records.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ol><li>10-20 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on contract and document checking within the commodities trading industry.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of the commodities trading industry, preferably in thermal coal and petcoal.</li><li>Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to commodities trading.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential legal risks.</li><li>Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.</li><li>Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.</li><li>Fluency in English, both written and verbal.</li></ol>
