<p><strong>Job Description:</strong> </p><p>Contracting Manager (Construction Company).</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong> </p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracting Manager to join our construction company. </p><p>As a Contracting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contractual aspects of our construction projects. </p><p>Your primary focus will be to ensure the successful execution of contracts, maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, and mitigate potential risks to ensure project success. </p><p>This is a senior-level position that requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in contracting within the construction industry and fluency in English.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ol><li>Contract Management: Manage the entire contracting process, including reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and other legal documents related to construction projects.</li><li>Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring that contractual obligations are met.</li><li>Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and contractual issues, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively provide recommendations to senior management on risk management and dispute resolution.</li><li>Compliance and Legal Support: Stay up to date with industry regulations, legal requirements, and construction industry best practices. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance matters and contractual obligations.</li><li>Change Management: Evaluate and process change orders, modifications, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and communication with all relevant parties involved.</li><li>Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients, serving as the main point of contact for contract-related matters. Address client concerns, resolve disputes, and maintain client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Contractual Correspondence: </li></ol><ul><li>Communication Management: Effectively manage all contractual correspondence with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Ensure clear and concise communication to avoid misunderstandings and maintain accurate records of all contractual discussions and agreements.</li><li>Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with legal teams and senior management to resolve contract-related disputes and claims. Participate in negotiations and mediation processes to reach fair and satisfactory resolutions.</li><li>Change Notifications: Timely and accurately communicate any changes or modifications to contracts, ensuring that all parties involved are informed and aware of the impact on project scope, timeline, and budget.</li><li>Record Keeping: Maintain a comprehensive and organized record of all contractual correspondence, including approvals, variations, and amendments. Ensure that documentation is compliant with company policies and industry standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ol><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in contracting, procurement, or commercial management within the construction industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of construction contracts, legal terms, and industry standards.</li><li>Knowledge of Contract Law and FIDIC: Strong understanding of contract law principles and familiarity with FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) contracts or other standard contract forms used in the construction industry.</li><li>Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.</li><li>Proven track record of successfully managing contracts for large-scale construction projects.</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.</li></ol>
