<strong><u>Job Description</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Major duties and responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist companies in better understand and develop solutions to respond to the complex and evolving policy, regulatory, and business environment risks and opportunities associated with ESG/Sustainability and Decarbonization.</li><li>Supervise and enhance the analysis of corporate activities and provide recommendations related to enhance their sustainability/ESG strategy, methods, framework, and related tools to support clients in achieving their sustainability/ ESG objectives.</li><li>Development of sustainability/ESG programs and related reporting, such as materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, metric/KPI identification (in alignment with common sustainability/ESG reporting standards such as GRI), and the preparation of reporting (internal and external) materials.</li><li>Supervise and coach engagement teams to perform fieldwork, including data collection, analysis, and work paper documentation; prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations.</li><li>Support team leads with client relationships, business development efforts, and drafting thought leadership, as well as internal collateral and pieces of training on sustainability and ESG topics; work closely, but independently, under the direction of Managers, Directors, and Partners.</li><li>Review of relevant sustainability data (i.e. benchmarking, trends, regulatory developments). </li><li>Day to day management of projects, ensuring quality and liaising with internal and external stakeholders and manage budgets.</li><li>Coach junior team members to develop new skills, monitor their performance, support their development and help manage their career growth.</li><li>Ability to quickly learn concepts outside of your area of expertise.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Education Requirements</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in ESG/Sustainability or equivalent studies.</li><li>Understanding of the following concepts and frameworks preferred:</li><li>Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)</li><li>Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)</li><li>Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)</li><li>Sustainably Development Goals (SDGs)</li><li>United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)</li><li>Environmental, Health &amp; Safety (EHS) like ISO 1400, 45001.etc.</li><li>Social Return on Investment (SROI) or equivalent</li><li>Energy related standards like ISO 50001</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Work Experience Requirements</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>4-5 years of previous work experience </li><li>Experience with sustainability consulting is preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Interpersonal Skills</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Proactive and independent person, with an ability to initiate tasks independently.</li><li>Researching skills- Identifies, documents and shares knowledge that might be useful to others. Demonstrates an inquisitive approach to understanding recent developments and trends in ESG/Sustainability.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills- Identifies ways to analyze information and trends quickly and efficiently.</li><li>Proficient problem solver- Suggests innovative and creative solutions to problems.</li><li>Effective communicator- Is able to communicate both internally and externally in a clear and concise manner.</li><li>Team player- Is willing and able to assist different team members on several tasks and demonstrates proactivity in doing so. </li><li>Adaptable – Is able to ‘hit the ground running’ and rapidly learn new skills and behaviors in response to changing circumstances and changing allocations of tasks. </li><li>Ability to coach, develop and lead the junior team.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Language skills: English and Arabic (preferred)</strong>
