JOB DESCRIPTION:
Construction Work Package (CWP) Planner, Green Hydrogen Element Project – NEOM, KSA
PURPOSE and SCOPE
Key responsibilities of this position are to provide leadership of Workface Planning activities. The primary responsibility of the CWP Planner is to be the liaison between Air Products Construction and Contractor Construction team for all the Workface planning activities.
On a day-to-day basis, CWP Planner will collaborate with Air Products Construction and Contractor team members on planning activities, coordinate with material management and other stakeholders to clear constraints and review the packages are built in time to allow continuous construction execution.
The CWP Planner is the go-to person for Workface Planning questions.
Specific Job Functions of this position are:
- Assist the WorkFace Planner Lead with Implementation strategy for workface planning on assigned project following the scheduled Path of Construction (POC)
- Ensure constraint management is followed for the Project
- Follow up on/ supervise contractor WFP’s and assist with day to day queries
- Provide strategic discipline consulting and implementation advice to the project
- Performs routine aspects of planning requiring knowledge of basic construction principles. Work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy
- Supports and provides guidance to subcontractor whilst they are gathering and compiling data to develop discipline specific Installed Work Packages (IWP) from the Construction Work Package (CWP) during detailed engineering and construction phase of project
- Coordinates with material coordinator concerning critical items of supply
- Ensure IWP’s are issued with enough time allocated for final installation planning
- Works with Superintendents and schedulers to insure IWP’s are scheduled
- Verifies IWP’s are constraint free prior to being issued to field by assuring that all constraint items are cleared and checked off. This includes but not limited to, material availability both permanent and consumables, equipment availability, crew availability
- Helps establish and maintain backlog of constraint free IWP’s
- Assure that the latest drawing is in the package by performing periodical audits once package has been issued.
The position requires at a minimum:
- Previous experience implementing and managing Workface Planning on capital construction projects in the $1B range
- Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills
- Leadership of both construction engineering and site construction teams
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization at construction site
- Experienced in in the full cycle of construction activities from development through production.
- Deep, technical understanding of AWP systems and processes, and must be intimately familiar with WFP phase of the AWP.
- Proven Record of success in safety, environmental, quality, employee involvement, team building, and diversity.
- Construction, engineering, or management university degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years construction and engineering experience
- Three (3) or more years of Advanced Work Packaging/Work Face Planning experience or equivalent
