<ul><li>Job Purpose: </li></ul><p><br></p>Construction Manager (Earthworks) core responsibility is to execute the work as per schedule, within budget and specification. Ensuring the quality of materials and execution, optimum utilization of resources. Responsible for overall safety.<p><br></p><ul><li>Principal Accountabilities: </li><li>Oversee performance of the earthworks scope on the project including, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems;</li><li>Review the design and shop drawings, ensure the shop drawings are as per design drawings and intimate the concerns if any variations to correct and get approval from concerns and follow to updates the quantities.</li><li>Manage and/or coordinate Company personnel and resources for the project(s);</li><li>Knowledge of material classification, earthwork and asphalt works as well.</li><li>Request the required resources (materials, manpower, equipment, sub-contractor etc) as per the resource plan and requirements &amp; follow with concerns to get it. </li><li>Coordinate with other teams such as Technical, Surveyor, Quality, Safety, Lab, Equipment, Materials, Logistic etc for their support and actions in time to execute the works as per schedule.</li><li>Submit or arrange with concerns to submit RFI, follow the consultant inspections and further steps to complete the item.</li><li>Support for the measurements of executed works of AICC groups and Sub Contractors and submit the reports.</li><li>Work with the Superintendent and Project Earthworks Engineer on a 12 โ€“ 24 month planning horizon to ensure that all resources are procured in a timely and cost effective manner;</li><li>Coordinate with the Engineering Manager to ensure that engineering plans are developed and approved in advance of the work;</li><li>Guide the Projects Control Engineer on the development of the CPM schedule as it relates to civil and Earthworks operations;</li><li>Ensure that the team adheres to all cost control processes;</li><li>Oversee and administer all commercial aspects of the project ensuring strict compliance with the budget provisions and project particulars;</li><li>Drive and spearhead change management, if and when required to develop cost estimates for the performance of extra work and changed conditions;</li><li>Prepare trade contracts and bid packages in conjunction with the Procurement and Contract Section, if and when required, as well as provide feedback for evaluation purposes;</li><li>Liaise with the Logistics Department in matters relating to machinery servicing, fueling, operations and other logistics matters;</li><li>Maintain relationships with the public;</li><li>Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, coordination, schedule and cost;</li><li>Review inspection and test data for compliance with specifications;</li><li>Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Superintendent;</li><li>Set-up QAQC procedures and conduct quality inspections;</li><li>Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others and enforce IFE program on projects.</li><li>Key Performance Indicators: </li><li>Achieving required productivity targets.</li><li>Monitoring the resource productivity.</li></ul><p><br></p>Identify resource requirements.<p><br></p><ul><li>Prepare Monthly , Quarterly, resource deployment plan in view of Main yearly plan </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Key relationships</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Provides a clear description of the job for subordinates working with him.</li><li>Job grading, to describe the job sufficiently to assess the grade.</li><li>To clarify roles and responsibilities for achieving Targets </li><li>To inform training and development needs.</li><li>To recommend for benefits from company.</li><li>To facilitate the employees with their rights.</li><li>Authorities: ()</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Required Academic Qualification</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Specification</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Bachelors / Masters</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Degree</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Civil</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Years of Experience &amp; field</li></ul><p><br></p>10 to 12 Years of extensive experience in field of Civil construction in Industry<p><br></p><ul><li>Skills and Competencies </li></ul><p><br></p><u>TECHNICAL &amp; PROFESSIONAL </u><p><br></p>Planning / forecasting<p><br></p><ul><li>organising</li><li>motivating</li><li>controlling</li><li>developing etc.</li><li>Understand multi-generational workforce trends</li><li>Provide high-impact performance feedback</li><li>Focus on employeesโ€™ career development needs</li><li>Maximize leadership strengths</li><li>Allocating resources and budgeting</li><li>Responding to contingencies</li><li>Defining clear success criterions and communicating the same to the team</li><li>Reporting and keeping the organization informed</li><li>Prioritization<br><br></li></ul>
